Just started the assembly of the siege artillery set and did the painting of the crew

Thanks Jens, the 'catapult' is almost ready. What is the correct name of this device ? It looks to some extend like a balista but not completly.

give me a picture and I will say you it's name. One of my parts at our reenactment is to explain the siege of a fortified town. There I expain some siegemachines as well

It's a mix between an catapult (which throws stones) and a wallcrossbow (which shoots arrows). So it's indeed very difficult to name but I'll try to find the name. Maybe a kind of ballista....but only "maybe"

Just finished the siege machine. I found in a book a reference to similar machines under the name scorpion (schorpioen), in other ones it's referenced as a ballista.
