How do you use your figures?

I have happily found this site by accident and am extremely impressed by the figures. I like 1/72 as they are mostly anotomically far superior than 15mm/25mm/28mm miniatures. looking at the forum, most of the contributors seem to make dioramas. Does anyone on this forum just collect and paint figures for free standing display? or use them within wargame armies.

I collect and paint with two projects in mind.
1. 3 medieval armies..an open ended project
2. A medieval city with civilians to be incorporated into fantasy gaming with figures like these;
