Hi all,

Time for me finally to share some work. This is a Knarr made from wood, models are Valdemar and the loadout is partly from the Knarr set, Nikolaj and self made.

History:
During the medieval ages some of the great naval nations like Denmark did use heavy ships like the Kogge for transport during crusades. But they also used older shiptypes like the Knarr. Especially during the crusades into Eastern Europe the Danes did use smaller ships to get all the way inland to the new establish castles.
The model here is actually based on the Skuldelev ship from the Wiking Museum in Roskilde.

Very nice and neat! How difficult the assembly in comparison with plastic kits?
