Well I just started a new experiment, this will be a 29m large kogge like on the pictures below. This model will be designed in 3D and will only be available from 3D print. This is to see what is possible and also to build some other ship options then the 3 very similar ships from Zzezda...

Hope to upload the first roughs on the layout of the ship within a day or day, this will be very interesting and as it is made in 3D there will be many things which can be made, like:

- Ship with full sails, being unlevel in the water
- Ship with ramps down, to allow disembarcment of cavalry
- Ship with tents, barrels etc
- Ship sinking

Hi,

Well here is the first look at the Kogge model, still a lot of work to do, but this would give an idea. The model is almost 40cm long and will be one impressive warship. Actually this kogge "Skeppen" is the biggest one ever found. Let me know what you think?

I think it's a great idea and great work!
I see several problems:
- The high price?
-need to add a large number of small parts (their meaning has to be purchased separately in stores for spetsialnyh ships hobby?
- Mlenkoe amount of free space in the hobby room for such large ships, especially if they will be somewhat a little different ...

It does look great but I agree wit hAlex..the price if high will be the ultimate deciding factor..which will make it a specialists thing to buy.

Well a lot more details will be added and this ship will be close to ready. On top we will do a "cargo" set... at least that is the plan. The ship will be almost 40cm long and therefore naturally the price will be bigger then the Zvezda kogge, on the other hand this ship is a big warship and will destroy the Zvezda/Revell kogge anytime

Hi,

Thanks for the kind words, the ship was originally just meant for Alex and I but it will be made available to all as soon as it is ready. It will be orderble directly from manufacturer (3D print) only due to the construction and the price will depend on the amount of material used. We are trying to make it as material efficient as possible.

And I promiss that when the last details have been added, then this will be a master piece

Wahou! it's a great ship and a great work! Congrats Jens!
For me 3D is better for this kind of work than for the figures....

Well here is the finished ship, only the sail is missing... and did I say that there will be initially one but with time to add ons. One will be a set with cargo for the deck and second in the future there will be a set with "sun covers" for the crew and 2-3 small cannons

and naturally Alex will make a special crew as well in 2012

What do you think

medieval ship 25mm scale
medieval ship 25mm scale 2
medieval ship 25mm scale 3
?
