I really like thei dio but you've made a little mistake. The knight are on the wrong side. Right now they are engaging themselves with the right side (weaponside) face the enemy. Normally the point the shieldside towards the enemy to protect their body. The lance was pointed from the ride side behind the horses neckt towards the enemy on the knights left front.

But, hey, history is my hobby, who else knows??

The problem with the italeri joustng figs is the lances are fixed wrongly..and without cutting and changing they don´t sit as they should ie; from the right across the shield on the left. As they are, the rider would risk being thrown out of his saddle or worse breaking his back due to the forces created on impact.
