Hi, i am new here
I stumbled upon valdemar and found this amazing figures:)

Thought i havent seen some arrows on dioramas
i found out a good way to make them

use a brush with straw that is 0,2?mm. Paint the brush the main arrow colour!
Cut the brush as arrows length. Dip one end in colours as the feathers.
And second dip the other end in super glue

It's look pretty good

Oh Regards Jager,sweden

Thanks!

I think the hardest part is to get all correct in history.
Use right soldiers and that.
Thought i wanted to have war elephant, phalanx and testudo in it
So it's perhaps a Roman Fort in Thessaly around 221–179 BC ?

Iguess i played to much Rome total war.

The Figures/war tower/elephant is from
Italeri, Hät, revell and zvezda.

It's around 250 troops havent counted all sins i made it, I have added more:)
Dimension is 37x52
The ground is PLASTER/GYPSUM

My own added is.
Gate house and wall. Inspired from
a Roman fort reconstruction from england

The siege machin(next to elephant) is build of play wood.

The Roman testudo is figures from Italeri and is glued togheter as a testudo.

Legion shield from Italeri
missing a bulge in the middle, so I added one, with ten. soldered there.

Looks great... a bit inaccurate (Imperial Legionaries and republican Hastati on the same dio) but there is a lot of action and the paintjob is great! Love it!

Yea that just Details
The Imperial Legionaries from hät is really bad.
Suggestion to remove? or add a time machine

Another miss is the roman cavallry that charge in the phalanx formation
and whit there heads turned side ways.

I like it...not 100% historically correct but so what. A very lively dio.
