Danish Medieval ship, Skamtrup kogge

Hi all,

Just another personal project, this time a model of a Danish kogge from the 13th/14th century. This ship is based on paintings found at the church in Skamtrup and we have tried to make it as close to this as possible. I especially like the two ornaments at the front and the back... most likely remains from the traditional with woking ships.

Should be ready for test casting in a few days

Another great ship! His images are really very well known. Decorations on the bow and stern - I think that the Danes have never forgotten tradition of the Vikings ...

Last corrections are being made now and soon it should be complete, I really look forward to painting this one and to get the crew in place.

Painting has begun... I did choose to make the Danish red and white color quite prominent. But still a lot if work to do :0)
