This pieces show here are from medieval city, others models come from other historical times.I hope that soon this pieces can be sold to people interested in
hello all, thanks for your responses. I´m not and expert in medieval structures, I have only generic knowlement about it. I take my inspiration from that I see . I not doubt that in medieval times the stone walls are more smooth, but I live in Barcelona, where I can see every day some buildings from time that the buildings of the other photos was constructed and is walls rest perfect smooth as when he was constructed as you can see in the photos. Thus probably not all stone walls was constructed in same way, with same material or with same skill.
this is a project that I have done with plastiv and putty. The basic structure is made in plastic t and the texture is done in two parts putty. The pieces can be situated from biblical times until today.
Hi Alex, Everytime is a pleasure respond questions about this... and criticism is wellcome :)
When I dessing these pieces I have in mind volume and texture and all of two things are based in real things of medieval buildings. I´m fortunate to live in a country where you can find samples of these architecture in near every town or city, Here in Barcelona you can find a lot of these samples, that I will be glad to show you if one day you came here :) I like make these buildings with "scars of life" more than pure architectural models and medieval stone buildings haeva big room for make this. About arch, some times you must force a bit the reality for give more dramatism or adding history to building more that give the real thecnical construction. In this case I have employed a flying butress that is used in some chatedrals . Over all I think that this pieces will be a good adding to people that collect your first class figures :)
some photos of diferent walls thta I use as inspiration for the texture of my walls
Hi Alex, not , no is moss,I want superpose two textures as I have seen some times here in very old stone buildings the diferences now it´s too evident due to diferent colour of the materials.
