Hi snagy,I use a mixture of Vallejo and Citadel (Games Workshop). The following seems to work fairly well - particularly if you are "batch" painting: (1) Prime whole figure. (2) Paint all steel areas Boltgun Metal (Citadel). (3)When dry, apply a wash of Nuln Oil (Citadel "Shade" - it's like an ink) to armour and mail - but not blades. (4) Dry brush raised surfaces with Natural Steel (Vallejo). (5) Highlight (sparingly) with drybrushed silver. The amount of steel/silver drybrushing will depend on...
